| Stanley's Camp |
Set in 260,000 acres of untamed, private African bush on the southernmost tip of Chief’s Island, Stanley’s Camp is a colonial-style tented camp offering some of the best big game viewing in the Okavango Delta. On day or night drives, you will see an abundance of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.
The Camp overlooks the Boro River and borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve. With only eight tents, it has a family atmosphere and is small enough for you to get to know your fellow guests and local, knowledgeable guides. The furniture is antique, the linen is of the finest quality and oriental rugs cover the wooden floors. Each tent has a private balcony with hammocks and ensuite facilities. The main area, where you can dine on gourmet cuisine and vintage wines or enjoy a sundowner, is built around a sausage tree and is raised on decking, offering incredible views. There is also a swimming pool for cooling off after a hard day’s game viewing.
