Situated north of Mombo in a private reserve of nearly 130,000 acres bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, Vumbura Plains is thought to offer the best combination of water and land Big five game viewing anywhere in the Okavango Delta. The area boasts a wonderful variety of habitats and a great diversity of wildlife, including large numbers of Sable Antelope, rarely seen elsewhere in Botswana, plus wetland and savannah species such as waterbuck, crocodile, sable, kudu and wildebeest . Take part in a Mokoro 'canoe' ride or boating trip and get the closet to a hippo that you'll ever be without being an egret. Excellent fishing is also available.
