Your Kenya Safari Holiday could well start at Amboseli, not only because Amboseli National Park is only an hour by air safari from Nairobi, but also because the wildlife viewing is top class all the year round and the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background are truly spectacular. It is also the home of the Maasai people, tall proud and brave, and nomadic, so there is evidence of their abandoned villages because they move wherever, and whenever the cattle grazing is used up. The cattle's damage to the grassland, added to the sheer numbers of animals along with the popularity of Amboseli, the huge number of tourists, their four wheel drive vehicle damage, has meant a restriction in where safari vehicles can go.
Amboseli is a great place to start your Kenya Safaris Holidays because of the numbers of wildlife that you can see, and the sheer beauty of seeing the game on your Amboseli Safari Holiday against the backdrop of the snow covered Mount Kilimanjaro.
Amongst the hotels, lodge and camps you need to reserve out for your Kenya tour Holiday in Amboseli includes Amboseli Serena Lodge, Ol Tukai Lodge, Amboseli Sopa Lodge, Tortllis Camp, and just north of Amboseli is Porini Camp

Camping Safaris
Budget camping is the ideal way for those who like to “rough it” as we provide mostly bivouac pop-up tents for accommodation whereby mattresses are laid on the sewn-in ground sheet. The tents are spacious enough for two people and they have a mesh on each window to keep off insects.
All preparations at the camp are made on arrival at the campsite. Guests are often expected to help pitch the tents, but the cooking and cleaning is all left to the camping crew. We recommend visitors to bring their own sleeping bags.
Public campsites provide basic washroom facilities of reasonable hygienic standard for budget camping safaris. At some Parks we use semi permanent campsites which offer an upgrade camping style with facilities like showers (hot showers on request) and Flash Toilets.Amboseli Camping safaris and tours, Amboseli camping safari.
