Lake Baringo Club

Lake Baringo Club Hotel is located on the shores of Lake Baringo, 75 kms north of the equator, the hotel nestles amongst palm trees, green lawns and the clashing pinks, purples, reds and oranges of bougainvillea obviously thriving in the hot steamy days that characterize so many of the Rift's lakes. The chocolate lake laps gently at 26 acres of gardens whilst crocodiles bask and hippos snort their stories just 50 yards offshore. But above all, Baringo is birds, birds and more birds. Over 460 species have been recorded here so it is no surprise that Baringo is the holiday vacation destination for bird watchers safaris and the highlight of the ornithology circuit of East Africa.

Lake Baringo lies in the solitude of the semi-desert, a haven of peace and beauty in harsh, rugged but majestic surroundings. Its beauty derives as much from an overwhelming sense of repose with nature as its scenic distinction. Until a few years ago, Baringo was considered well off the beaten track. Lake Baringo Club is a neat, compact hotel on the Lake Shore, Ideal for business with a fully equipped conference room. Services include laundry/dry cleaning, gift shop, telephone, fax and email. Lake Baringo Club offers luxurious Family Suites, Pool Wing rooms and Lake Wing rooms. Children love Lake Baringo for its games room, TV/Video and a fully equipped playground.
