Kongoni Game Ranch

Kongoni House Hotel is located above the Little Lake to the east of Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley of southwest Kenya. This fabulous colonial bungalow, one of the earliest around the lake, contains 7 double rooms, lounge, dining room and extensive verandahs. It is utterly authentic, with virtually all of its original furniture and fittings. The estate runs to around 1000 hectares of decent game areas, where vehicle, foot and horseback safaris are offered.

Crater Lake Lodge Hotel – Crater Lake is a secluded green soda lake at the bottom of an extinct volcano, tucked away in central Kenya. It is, in the author's opinion, the most beautiful natural phenomenon in Kenya. Approximately 40 km out of Naivasha town past the lake, some 15 km past Elsamere Centre you can find this rarely visited natural green Soda Lake.

Elsamere Hotel Lodge - Located on the shores of Lake Naivasha, Elsamere is the former home of the Late Joy and George Adamson famous for their relationship with the lioness Elsa, as told in the book and subsequent movie 'Born Free'. A memorial room has been set aside with some of Joy's paintings.

Great Rift Valley Lodge Resort - The Great Rift Valley Lodge is located on the side of the Eburu Escarpment and has good views of Lake Naivasha and the Rift Valley. After a drive through the rough road, you get to Great Rift Valley Lodge, a different world from the surrounding with beautiful lawns, golf course, tennis court and a swimming pool.

Hippo Point Hotel - Hippo Point is set surrounded on two sides by water on a private ranch on the western shores of Lake Naivasha. It hosts abundant wildlife including hippo, giraffe, buffalo, leopard and over 600 bird species and offers luxurious accomodation in a large English country house originally built in 1933, and a nine-storey tower with stunning views over Oloidien Bay from which guests can follow the movements of the hippos as they graze.

Kiangazi House Hotel - This delightful country house overlooks Oloidien Bay and part of Lake Naivasha. With delightful lush and colourful gardens, rolling lawns and a view to compliment the beautiful setting, it’s ironic that “Kiangazi” is the Swahili word meaning “hot and dry season”. With a library and huge fireplace, it is an ideal place to relax in, or to play tennis for the more energetic on the court overlooking the corridor route which takes wildlife to water at the lakes edge.

Kigio Wildlife Camp - Kigio Wildlife Camp is an up market ensuite camp built within Yellow-fever woodland overlooking the Malewa River. The camp is built from sustainable pine-wood, local soil from the conservancy, traditional thatch provided by the surrounding community and canvas panels - there has been minimal usage of cement and steel in the construction of the camp.

Loldia House - Loldia House is set under acacia and wild fig trees within a large farm on the green western shores of Lake Naivasha. Built in the Second World War, its main archway frames a stunning view of the dormant volcano Mt. Longonot. Lush lawns run down to the shores of Lake Naivasha, and indigenous plants and flowers fill the gardens. Small antelope wander through the gardens while wild animals roam free on the farm. In the evenings hippo munch quietly by the waterside.

Longonot Ranch House Hotel - Longonot Ranch House is a colonial style house set in the shadow of Mt. Longonot and overlooking Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. The house is ideally situated for day trips to Hells Gate National Park, Mt Longonot, Mt. Suswa caves, the Aberdares and Lake Naivasha.
