North Kenya Deep Sea Safaris

Itinerary Type - Fishing
Destination - Kenya

Itinerary Summary

Deep Sea Fishing on Kenya's Coast

The North Kenya Banks are becoming famous for not only broadbill but also big marlins and tunas. By all accounts the fishing for other game fishes, such as giant trevallies is second to none and by booking a safari with us you now have the opportunity of experiencing it.

Although we can pick you up from any port in Kenya the most convenient might be for you to fly in to Malindi Airport, spend a night at the Driftwood Beach Club and then start your safari the following morning.

We can fish our way north anchoring at Ziwayu, Tenewe, Lamu or Kiwayu or all of them. If you like we can include an overnight to target the broadbill. To the north off Kiwayu Island the drop off is like off Shimoni, just 3 miles off shore.

Acommodation
There are lodges on Lamu and Kiwayu so if you prefer we could combine a fishing safari with some excellent accommodation on dry land.

Peponi Hotel - This family run hotel was built in 1967 and is still being run by the same family, the Korschen's. Peponi is at the gateway to the historical town of Lamu a very picturesque, laid back and beautiful place.

Manda Bay Resort is on the north of Manda Island on a sand spit overlooking the bay. The resort is stunningly beautiful and the ambience created by the hosts Andy & Caragh Roberts and Fuzz & Bimbi Dyer makes for an unforgetable holiday. Manda Bay is a high class establishment with huge rooms, a beautiful setting and wonderful food.
