Ocean Sports Hotel Resort is a small, family owned and managed beach hotel located in the Watamu National Marine Park. Very casual, laid back and relaxed, Ocean Sports Resort has long been the location of choice for travelers wanting a break on the beach. The Ocean Sports Hotel sits on Turtle Bay beach, a three-mile stretch of dazzling white sand, leading down to a warm, clear turquoise sea, protected by fascinating coral reefs.
Ocean sports resort sits 20 kms South of Malindi, and is one of the oldest hotels on the Kenyan coast, enriched with history and beach front culture. The Resorts been voted as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. With the boats rolling in the water, and the tranquil sounds of the waves breaking on the shore, Ocean Sports has become a truly breath taking get away resort. The Luxury family hotel has recently undergone a major renovation, which has not only made it more sophisticated and relaxing, but also introduced new levels of service previously unseen in the area. The new varied menus will excite and invite both new and returning guests to sample the delights of the sea front restaurant.
 
Not only is there lots to do within the resort, but guests can venture out to explore the many beaches, Mida Creek; do some bird watching; sample the best game fishing; go snorkeling; diving; go on safari; or even take a trip to a snake park.
Ocean Sports Hotel Resort Accommodation
The rooms in Ocean Sports Hotel are nestled amongst a serene tropical garden, facing towards the Indian Ocean and white Watamu beach. Peaceful sleep is guaranteed in the fully air-conditioned rooms with comfortable twin or double size beds draped with mosquito netting. Each room is elegantly decorated and complete with ensuite bathrooms and a safe.
The Ocean Sports Hotel has 15 double bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom a private verandah and ceiling fans.

Located on the edge of the beach, the beach house has three bedrooms, a lounge, private kitchen and beachfront verandah.
Sleeps up to 8 persons comfortably, and has a large bathroom with bath & shower facilities, and the main bedroom is ensuite.

A campsite is available with access to all the hotel facilities

At Ocean Sports Hotel there are also a number of family cottages which may be taken on a half board basis or may be rented as a self catering Cottages house where a cook and cleaner are provided, but you arrange your own food and drink.
Ocean Sports Hotel Resort Restaurant
Ocean Sports has a stunning restaurant located on the beachfront with views from the outdoor wooden decking that make the dining experience fantastic. The restaurant’s new menu uses seasonal local ingredients and takes full advantage of the brilliant fresh seafood line caught every day. A wood burning pizza oven is the secret behind the Ocean Sports pizzas, topped with exciting ingredients and hand made to order. The diverse selection of dishes suits even the fussiest, as well as children, and has enticed guests and visitors to come and dine again and again.
Breakfast - On the coast the sun is up and shining by 7am and breakfast is available from then until 9.45.
Sunday Lunch - Sunday lunch is served out on the deck, and is incredibly popular with the local community who bring a friendly atmosphere when they come to dine.
Dinner - Dining in the evening under a starry African sky, kissed by a cool breeze on the candlelit decking, creates an experience to be relished. The mood is nostalgic, making dinner for two a romantic affair. The a la carte seasonal menu completes the evening with a selection of fabulous food.

Day Trip to Mombasa: specifically organized day trips to Mombasa including visits to the following; Akamba woodcarvers, Hindu Temple, Old Town & Port, Fort Jesus, spice market. Lunch on the famous Tamarind Dhow followed by a visit to the Bamburi Nature Trail and return to Malindi..
Visit Lamu: The flight to Lamu is a quick 30 minutes, traveling low over the coastline. The Lamu Archipelago is a cluster of low-lying desert-like islands north of the Tana Delta. Lamu has a complete Swahili flavor, with lots of Arab influence, narrow streets and numerous mosques. Donkey's and carts are the main modes of transport. There are a variety of hotels and guesthouses either in Lamu town or further north at Shella where there are long stretches of deserted beaches. A daily scheduled air service is operated from Malindi. You can either fly up for a day or maybe a couple of nights.
Visit Tsavo National Park: Safaris can be organized from the Ocean Sports Hotel to the Tsavo National Park. Accommodation will be in tented camps and usually for two or three nights. All the main species of game may be seen in Tsavo; Elephants, Buffalo, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Rhino and many different varieties of antelope. Tsavo is also famous for its prolific bird life.
