Itinerary Summary
A "Mobile Camping Safari" offers a taste of Africa in the old tradition You will travel off the beaten track away from the main stream tourist flow, enjoying more privacy and the thrill of open air life in the African bush.
Day 1: Elsas Kopje, Meru National Park
On arrival at Nairobis Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be met by your Professional Guide and transferred across to Wilson Airport for your private charter to Meru National Park. Elsas Kopje is tucked neatly into the side of Mugwangho Hill, George Adamsons original campsite and home to Elsa his lioness made famous in the film Born Free. Settle into your spacious rooms and freshen up before a leisurely lunch.
Choose between an early afternoon siesta on your four-poster bed or on your private verandah, or take a refreshing dip in the pool overlooking the plains of Meru. Your guide will let you have an introduction on the delights awaiting you before your early evening game drive ending with sundowners watching the sunset.
After dinner in the lodge, enjoy your first nights sleep listening to the sounds of the African bush.
Days 2 & 3 : Elsas Kopje
Enjoy the next two days in Meru National Park walking and driving around the park with your Professional Guide.
Day 4 : Samburu Private Camp, Samburu National Reserve
Caravan of Camels This morning, with your professional guide, take your private charter northbound to Samburu.
Your private camp will have been set up ahead of your arrival on a shady spot on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.This unique ecosystem offers sightings of some species of wildlife only seen in the Northern
Hemisphere Grevy Zebra & Reticulated Giraffe, in addition to Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk,Elephants,
Cape Buffalo, Crocodiles, Cheetah, Lion & Leopard, etc.
Day 5 &6 : Samburu Private Camp
Spend two full days enjoying the game and birdlife in this reserve. The Samburu people, closely related to the Maasai tribe, offer a cultural experience to this region.
Day 7 : Sabuk K, Northern Frontier District
Leave your private camp to be mobilized and transported to the Masai Mara to await your arrival there in 2 days.
Take your private charter to Kenya's Laikipia Plateau. Arrive at Sabuk, a stunning open-plan stone and thatch lodge on a gorge overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River. Spend the day enjoying Sabuk's totally private wilderness.
Day 8 : Sabuk
Today you will join the local Laikipiak Masai and their caravan of camels to walk along the banks of this regions dramatic river.
This experience offers you the privilege of viewing the local wildlife on foot and undisturbed - Elephant, Buffalo, Dik Dik, Greater Kudu, Klipspringers, Giraffe and many more roam across the Plateau.
Your fly camp will have been pitched for you ahead of your arrival, carried by a train of pack camels and set up in the shade of the indigenous Acacia and Fig trees.
After lunch spend the afternoon taking a welcome siesta, lazing on the riverbanks or swimming in the river. After drinks and dinner around the campfire, sleep under the protective netting, listening to the night sounds of the bush.
Day 9 : Maasai Mara Private Camp, Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast in camp, venture on foot across the Sabuk wilderness, taking a different route back to the lodge for an early lunch. Take your private charter to the Masai Mara where your mobile team has set up your new camp in another of Kenyas paradise regions.
Day 10 & 11 : Maasai Mara Private Camp
You have three day to explore this famous wildlife reserve. Enjoy bush breakfasts set amidst these famous rolling plains.
Evenings by the campfire, lit only by the soft glow of hurricane lamps with dinner under the stars.
Day 12 : Nairobi & Departure
Today you fly back to Nairobi and your day room to relax and freshen up before your long journey home.

Before your drive to Jomo Kenyatta Airport and your final farewell to Kenya.
