Leopard Beach Resort & Spa - South Coast ( 4 Star)

Leopard Beach Resort Hotel & Spa is an award winning luxury beach hotel and is one of the best hotels on the South Coast of Mombasa. Initially a mafia hotel built in the 1970’s, Leopard Beach Hotel was sold to its current owners. The new owners then embarked on a massive campaign to renovate and basically rebuild the entire hotel into what it is today. Now it is one of the most beautiful and best hotels on Kenya’s coast
Leopard Beach Resort is a large hotel, but has been built in such a way that you never feel overcrowded.

The gardens at Leopard Beach Hotel are beautifully landscaped over 30 acres and immaculately maintained which give an even greater ambience. The room blocks are dotted around the carefully planned gardens and look almost invisible. This makes you feel like you are in a smaller secluded hotel. Almost at the end of the big renovation project, the resort will soon launch their Uzuri Health Spa and Fitness Forest at the back of the Hotel.

Leopard Beach Resort will be surrounded by 6 acres of indigenous forest and promises to offer only the best treatments and therapies available. They have tried to make the resort as comfortable as possible and offer the little things which other hotels do not, like the Tutti Frutti Ice Cream parlour down near the beach. Pizzas are part of the culture of the place and they serve possibly the best pizza in Kenya. They also host a wide variety of activities from a PADI 5 star dive centre to golf, which can be enjoyed at the Leisure Lodge Golf Club located next door. Clubs and kit can be hired.

The living areas are nice and spacious yet personal featuring beautifully hand carved wooden furniture and African art pieces decorating the walls. Classy is the word that seems to sum up the place as a whole.
The resort is idyllically located: right on the white, sandy shores of Diani Beach surrounded by coral coves nestling in between cliffs covered in flowering vegetation and beautiful tropical gardens. Walking down the two flights of stairs to the beach, a grand, panoramic view of the ocean unfolds. Your 45 Kilometers transfer from Mombassa Airport to Kenya’s best beach hotel will take about one and a half hours.

Leopard Beach Resort Hotel Accommodation
Dotted throughout the vast 25 acres of magnificent tropical gardens are a total of 158 rooms, cottages and suites (90 standard rooms, 48 sea-facing superior rooms, 10 Chui class cottages, 7 suites and 2 superior suites and 5 honeymoon suites and 2 executive suites). We highly recommend the honeymoon suites with their sunken baths! The executive suites have Jacuzzi baths and amazing power showers.

One thing you will love about this hotel is that they regularly renovate the hotel. This ensures that guests are continuously exposed to only the best and it is no wonder that they win award after award. The standard rooms are located in double storey blocks located around the premises. These have all recently been redone and are stunning. Large and comfortable, they all feature air cons, satellite television, private bath and shower, mini bar, direct dialing telephone service, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. The rooms have a modern theme and come in double or twin configuration. They all look out on to the beautifully landscaped gardens. The superior rooms are a little larger than the standard rooms and have a settee additional.

All the suites are fantastic and if you can afford them, they are highly recommended. These include sea views, sunken Jacuzzi baths, power showers (his and hers) as well as safes in the rooms. The Executive Suites also have a lounge area and outside patio. All the  rooms come with ‘Chui Class' service – such as an extensive 24-hour room service menu, valet and laundry and even baby-sitting services are available on request.

Leopard Beach Resort Hotel Restaurant
Three table-d'hôte venues are rotated throughout the week: a buffet or set-menuin the Horizon Restaurant and Terrace, dine al fresco on the Coco Beach BBQ, or enjoy an African cultural night with traditional dishes on the ‘Nyama Choma' terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The a la carte options are just as varied.

The award winning Chaines des Rotisseurs specialty restaurant, the ‘Chui Grill' offers fresh seafood and grills in a teak-timbered deck overlooking the lilly ponds - fine dining at its finest and perfect for that romantic meal. For lunch, sample stir-fries at Coco Mchana on Coco Beach or try the Italian specialty restaurant – Pizza ‘n' Pasta Tornati.
‘Mario's' bar is a polished mahogany, rosewood and teak cocktail bar with brass rivets, moulded trims, twisted rope and bench seating hand built by local Italian boat-builder Mario Scianna. And the Poolside Bar itself is the ideal oasis for sun worshippers to quench their thirst after a hard morning sun bathing, swimming or aqua aerobics

Dinners are equally exciting with a blend of local cultural shows every night including the famous Maasai dances, live bands and acrobats. Evening entertainment includes a disco overlooking the ocean, traditional African dancing and weekly BBQ's around the pool.
