Southern Palms Hotel Accomodation
Southern Palms Hotel rooms are fully air-conditioned and feature a locally carved "Pili Pili" four-poster double bed, a standard size day bed that can convert into a second bed. Tiled ceramic floor throughout the room and bathroom. Every room is fitted with a electronic safe for your convenience. The bathroom is well designed with a very spacious shower. All the rooms are overlooking the swimming pools and gardens, there is however a possibility of pre-booking one of our "Ocean Front Room", please inquire with our Reservations Office for the relevant requirements. Family inter connecting rooms are available on various floors. Balconies and Verandas are very spacious and fitted with "Swahili easy chairs". Southern Palms Beach Resort Restaurant
Southern Palms Beach Resort is known for its great seafood and meat platters and offers four restaurants to choose from, all serving good, tasty meals. The Hotel main restaurant seats 450 guests and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - buffet style. They serve good crab, prawns and steaks, and their Spiny Langouste (clawless lobster) is simply delicious.
The second dining option at Southern Palms Resort, the Manyatta ‘Nyama Choma’ (African barbeque) Restaurant is next to the pool and serves grilled meat, game and fish. They use special spices on their dishes that give a great twist to a traditional barbeque.
The Boriti Snack Restaurant offers snacks and light lunches during the day while the Beachcomber Stir-fry chefs dish up great “mix” a la minute nibbles right on the beachfront. Another dinner option, the La via Romana Italian Restaurant, offers great a la carte Italian food. This restaurant is next to the ocean and makes for a really pretty setting.
There are also 5 bars spread out over the property, including 2 ‘swim up bars’ by the poolside. All of them stay open ‘till 11pm. After dinner, guests may watch or dance to a selection of various live African bands, musicians, acrobats, and local folklore.
