Itinerary Summary
Our journey begins with the San Bushmen, the last
Day 1: Windhoek
We begin in Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, where the Eros and Auas mountains meet to border
this beautiful valley.
Day 2 : Nhoma
Our charter flight to Nhoma provides a spectacular introduction to Namibia’s remoteness.
Dusk harkens our first encounter with the San. After a braai (BBQ), we witness San legends come
alive through song, stories and their dream dance.
Day 3 : Encounter with the San
The San introduce us to their traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle and bushlore.
Day 4 : Northern Namibia
A leisurely drive through the coarse, but beautiful savanna of Northern Namibia, takes us to our
campsite outside Etosha National Park.
Day 5 : Etosha National Park
Our first day of safari in Etosha National Park mirrors the wildlife’s dawn and dusk activities.
Day 6 : Visit to waterholes
We visit various waterholes today, including Ombika and Okondeka, to look for resident prides of
lions. It is thrilling to view Africa’s big cats up close!
Day 7 : Etosha game drive
Today we take a game drive across western Etosha where tourist traffic is normally not allowed.
Day 8 : Mowani foothills
We set off via Khorixas and the ‘Petrified Forest’ to our mobile camp in the Mowani foothills.
In the afternoon we view ancient San rock engravings at Twyfelfontein.
Day 9 : Drive with local Damarans
A morning game drive with local Damarans takes us into an area where the immensity of the
landscape dwarfs even the mighty baobab trees!
Day 10 : Drive to Swakopmund
An amazing drive along the Skeleton Coast to the German colonial town of Swakopmund.
Day 11 : Scenic flight
Today’s scenic flight over shipwrecks, deserted mines, Sesriem Canyon and the mighty
Sossusvlei dunes will be a highlight of your trip.
Day 12 : Sossusvlei
Experience dawn from the peak of Africa’s largest sand dunes where waves of pastel colors
wash over the desert from atop these apricot colored giants. Sossusvlei is a photographer’s dream!
Day 13 : Game walk to Kulala Reserve
Take a guided game walk on the private Kulala Reserve or enjoy the crisp early morning
light from a hot-air balloon flight ($520 extra). On our charter flight back to Windhoek we will see
this stunning landscape from a different perspective.
Day 14 : End of Namibian journey
A relaxed breakfast and last minute shopping completes your Namibian journey.
