Sayari Hotel Camp is situated at a fantastic site on the Mara River in the remote northern Serengeti, Tanzania one of Africa’s best kept secrets! Sayari Camp Hotel is ideally located to witness the great migration between June and November. The Luxury camp moves to be sighted for the best migration movements and in the early part of the year are in the Ndutu area of southern Serengeti.

Sayari Hotel is an exclusive mobile camp, is owned by Asilia Lodges & camps that affords guests the most amazing experience the Serengeti National Park has to offer.  The Serengeti is renowned for its huge variety of wildlife and is world-famous for the Great Migration – a magnificent spectacle unlike any other.  The mobile nature of Sayari Hotel enables it to follow migratory patterns so guests can enjoy the optimum game viewing opportunities.  The camp will not move during your actual stay, it will already be in the best position for wildlife observation at that time. The mobility of Sayari Camp ensures that it is the ideal destination for guests who want to completely immerse themselves in African nature – a truly authentic safari experience.

Sayari itself is a simple camp, though it has been well designed and thought out. All of the camps nine fairly Large Tents are well spread out and equipped – all with proper beds and en-suite bathrooms including a flushing toilet and a shower. Visiting during the migration is simply amazing. It's certainly worth timing your trip to see this if you can. The staffs are charming and very welcoming. Whilst we were there, guests wanted to witness a crossing, and so the camp stationed a team member with a radio on the river bank during lunchtime, to alert dining guests in case of a crossing. However, don't dismiss the idea of coming to Sayari when the migration is not here, as you'll find plenty of game

Sayari Camp Restaurant
Breakfast at Sayari can be eaten before or after a morning game drive. You can choose from a cold buffet – fresh fruit, cereals, and yoghurts etc, followed by a cooked breakfast – scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, toast….all washed down with fresh fruit juices, tea or coffee.

Lunch is a very relaxed buffet. A choice of ham, salads, quiche and bread. This was simple, fresh and well presented.

Dinner is a three course meal and again very relaxed, then a drink around the campfire, and served a hot aubergine and cheese stack as our starter. The main course is bush barbeque – pork chops, chicken, kebabs, beef…accompanied by salads and vegetables. There is plenty of choice and plenty of food. Again this was simple but very tasty and all very fresh.

At each meal, there is always a vegetarian option and plenty of food for everyone. As people choose their own timetable, with their own driver/guide, there is a relaxed feel at meal times and clients eat pretty much at their leisure. Sayari Camp Activities
Walking Safari: Walking in the bush is an unforgettable safari experience that brings you the feeling of really being part of the nature around you. Wildlife is frequently encountered, but the sheer beauty of the nature or true interaction with local cultures can be just as rewarding!  Walking safaris can differ in length and pace according to you choice; the emphasis can be on taking it slowly and having time to smell flowers or on chasing animal trails into the unknown. Walking safaris can be combined with fly camping to give guests the ultimate safari experience: walking into your own private camp where food and drinks await you - after a day of walking through majestic Serengeti Plains. Walking safaris are professionally guided. Vehicle pick-up and drop off if required. Walkie-talkie radios allow contact with vehicles and camps.

Fly Camping: Fly camping is a wonderful way to sleep under the stars and enjoy the pure tranquility and raw excitement of the bush. Ten foot square tents made of heavy duty mosquito mesh ensure that you are close to nature but apart from only bugs. Fly camping in the Serengeti eco-system is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The freedom of movement, the intimacy of the light camp and the thrill of being so close to nature is the pinnacle of many guests' safaris. Your fly camp is light enough to move easily and strike quickly, but still retains the everyday luxuries that it characterizes hot showers, comfortable bedding and cold drinks served with gourmet food.
Children are welcome at Sayari, as long as they are over the age of 7.Sayari would be a lovely camp for mature children. They would have to be aware of the remote location and the high risk of wild animals. It is also a peaceful camp, so they would have to be old enough to respect this.
Sayari Camp has links to the Flying Doctors. Some of the staff are first aid trained and they have a first aid box on site. Laundry is included at Sayari. Clothes are sun-dried, so getting it back is weather dependant.
Sayari Camp accepts US Dollars, English Pounds, Euros and Tanzanian Shillings. Sayari do not accept travellers cheques or credit cards.

Olakira Camp is an intimate mobile tented camp of 6 guest tents and 2 common area tents. 'Olakira' means 'star' in Maasai and with its sister camp, Sayari, on the Mara River, they cover the best areas of the vast Serengeti National Park. Whilst the mobile nature of Olakira Camp allows it to move to the densest concentrations of wildlife, it manages to surprise with its spaciousness and comfort. Large beds, wide private verandas, convenient bathroom facilities, a great lounge area and wonderful food served under the Serengeti stars ensure total well-being.

Far from the madding crowd, Suyan Camp has only 5 guest tents, offers gourmet food, great wines, and all the comforts you can possibly expect. Yet a stay here is not about luxury. It is about discovery, exploration and nature in its overwhelming totality
Matemwe lies perched on a coral rock, surrounded by the best beaches and right opposite the Mnemba Atoll, which offers spectacular diving and snorkeling. The friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, lush tropical gardens, fine white sand, intimate swimming pools, massages, and magnificent food specializing in fresh seafood make Matemwe the ultimate tropical paradise on the intriguing island of Zanzibar.
