Kikoti Safari Camp lodge is a luxury, tented camp that recaptures the time-honored splendor of the traditional safari camp of yesteryear, when comfort was defined by superior service and campfire hospitality. This secluded permanent tented camp perched high on a ridge overlooking Tarangire National Park offers ten private cottages, each with ensuite bathrooms and private viewing decks. Tarangire National Park, famous for the huge and beautiful Baobab trees with nighttime opening flowers that await pollination by enormous nectar seeking bats, and vast herds of Elephant (over 3000 utilize this eco-system's resources) that chew the pithy bark to gain the valuable moisture content.
Kikoti Safari Lodge is our private sanctuary of some 10,000 acres right in the middle of this migration route bordering the National Park, We are unique in being able to observe both the dry season migration towards the Tarangire' s waters and then the reversal, as this eco-systems wildlife turns around and disperse out over 20,000 sq kms of surrounding Masailand as the opportunity of light sporadic rains fall in November- January. Kikoti Camp Lodge is named after a nearby, mile long stretch of Kopjes. These ancient boulders command views of epic proportions.
To the north, the Rift Valley Escarpment and Ngorongoro Highlands rise above Lake Manyara, to the east are the Simanjiro Plains, calving grounds to the wildebeest herds. To the north and east Mountains Kilimanjaro and Meru are seen on clear days. Immediately to the west Tarangire National Park - the Tarangire eco-system and the pastoralist Masai on whose land we operate being the focus.

Dining is the best of the Kikoti camp experience; the meals are prepared by local chefs, in tasty traditional Tanzanian flavor. Most evenings, the hosts for the camp will also have dining arranged in a wilderness area few meters from the main camp enclosed in wooden fence epitomizing the Maasai homestead called the En'Kaang. While the meals are being served, your personal Maasai guides stand guard to impede the hyenas from peaking into camp. Dinner is followed by traditional music and folklore presented by the Maasai of Tarangire, the owners of the land Kikoti Camp was built on.Superb sundowners evening snacks and drinks are held on the Kikoti Rock high up in the air with panoramic views of the landscape so beautifully displayed.
