Mchenja is the newest Norman Carr camp. The name is taken from the local word for an ebony tree as the camp is set in a wonderful ebony grove. It is A well-appointed, seasonal bushcamp in the South Luangwa.Mchenja Camp lies towards the north of the South Luangwa National Park, on the banks of the Luangwa River.
Each of the five specially designed octagonal tents at Mchenja Bush Camp has their own private en-suite open-air bathroom plus free standing, roll-top baths with a river view.
