Situated on the northern border of Kafue National Park in one of Zambia's most important and unspoiled wetlands, the 290 square mile Busanga Plains, Shumba Camp offers a wealth of plains game, predators and birds.

You will also see plentiful Red Lechwe, puku, roan, sable, oribi, duiker the Defassa Waterbuck, herds of tsessebe, hartebeest, zebra, buffalo, leopard and wild dog.
For those interested in birding, the Park boasts over 490 species, including endemics such as Chaplin's Barbet as well as Wattled and Crowned Cranes, Fulleborn's and Rosy-Throated Longclaws, Lanner Falcon and large flocks of Open-Billed and Yellow-Billed Storks.
